Gluten-Free Pasta Aglio e Olio (Recipe by Roy Choi)

Looking for an elegant supper to make for you and your sweetie? Cooking dinner for a date tonight and not sure what to make? Forget all the innuendos, this is Chef Roy Choi’s Spaghetti with Garlic and Olive Oil from Jon Favreau’s latest film, Chef.

If you haven’t seen the Chef as yet, please change that soon. Unless, of course, if you happen to hate food and quitting your job to pursue a career of food trucking is the most repulsive idea you could possibly entertain. For those of us who love food porn, or just food in general, this movie gets a 5-star rating.

One of my favorite scenes from the film is one in which Jon Favreau’s title character, Chef Casper, takes home the lustrous Molly, played by Scarlet Johannson, and prepares a meal that’s intended to knock her socks and, presumably other pieces of clothing, off. Watching him prepare it, and the numerous other dishes in the film, will wet a few appetities.

I like to make a habit of putting just my recipes on Meeganism but I had pregnant-lady type of craving for garlic-y pasta like the one Jon Favreau makes to aid his seduction. In my quest to find a YouTube clip of him making it, I struck gold and found the actual recipe instead thanks to an interview conducted by Patrick Frye of The Inquisitr News. I love this very simple recipe, the only thing I did differently was use gluten-free spaghetti. Ladies and gentlemen, here’s Chef’s Pasta Aglio e Olio (Garlic and Olive Oil Spaghetti) by Chef Roy Choi. Enjoy and Happy Hump Day!
